Veel standaardpreparaten uit het kistje dragen het etiket ‘Prepared by Northern Biological Supplies for Britex (Scientific Instruments) Ltd. London’, in onderstaande beschrijvingen is dit afgekort tot NBS*. Onleesbare woorden zijn aangegeven door [?]. Jaartallen als ’85 zijn gecompleteerd tot [18]85.
Veel preparaten zijn van twee of soms drie etiketten voorzien, als scheidingsteken dient ‘//’. Op een etiket dient ‘/’ als scheidingsteken van tekstregels of delen van tekst van een verschillend karakter.
