Description

The body of the instrument is cast from one piece of black enamelled iron. The foot is a wide U shape with a rounded pillar that ends in a smaller U shape on which the glass stage rests and to which the small hand rests are connected. The size of the stage is 6.6 × 6.6 cm. There is no mirror. On top of the pillar also a brass strip of which the height is adjustable, that carries the achromatic magnifier after Steinheil. It has aquatic motion.
The magnifier is marked 10×. Its focal length is 25.76 mm, its magnification is 9.7×.
