The Historical Microscopy Foundation is officially registered with the Dutch Government as the Stichting voor Historische Microscopie. It is managed by a tripartite board. The object of the Foundation is to collect and preserve historical microscopes and other scientific instruments. The collection can be visited by appointment. Entrance is free.
The Foundation financially depends on subsidies, gifts, and legacies. Without stone nations, the Foundation cannot fulfil its objectives and guarantee its own continuity. Microscopes and other scientific instruments that fit the scope of the collection are welcome.

As well as microscopes and related equipment, the Foundation welcomes descriptions of techniques, old catalogues and other related written material. If you can help us expand this part of the collection, please contact us.
