This instrument is known as ‘Stathams Panopticon’, it is stored in a little wooden box covered with brown paper.
The instrument consists of a small achromatic telescope, the aperture of the achromatic objective lens is 21 mm, there is a four lens eyepiece. The eyepiece can be screwed on a simple stand, it functions then as a drum type microscope.
Accessories: a flat mirror, a lens cap, an eye cap and an eye cap with blue filter glass. There are three positive lenses that can be used on the microscope. There are four English object slides.
