This marvellous microscope has been donated to the foundation by mr. J.H. van den Broek. He inherited it from his father C.J.H. van den Broek and wished to give it a good destination. C.J.H. van den Broek (born 8 August 1913, Nijmegen, the Netherlands) was a biologist, PhD, and lector at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He passed away on 17 December 2011 in Utrecht.
